My Name is John, I am 27 years old living in San Diego California. I am still in the Navy. I think I said I “WAS” in the navy because those photos were taken a few years ago. Oops, my bad. I had to make this video in a hotel room in Pensacola, FL Because I’m here for a Navy school. I will be in San Diego early August.
I was born in Southern California and started racing motocross at LACR when I was 6. I continued racing until I was about 9. It was then that my parents split and I moved to Buena Vista, Colorado. I hadn’t been on a dirt bike again until i turned 23, that’s when I was able to buy my own bike. An 2006 KX250, Two Smoke baby! I started racing again and was getting 1st or 2nd in most of my races. But racing was eating my bank account alive! So I just started riding for fun with my buddys.
Last winter I decided to chase a childhood dream because I wasn’t getting any younger. I had ridden BMX bikes for fun and for transportation around my little mountain town. I had always wanted to race BWX but never had a track anywhere close to home. I soon learned of a track close to my Duty Station in Oklahoma City. So I bought a bike, started racing and started winning! Then I found out the BMX Grand National Championship was in Oklahoma! I raced in it and place 2nd, not bad for racing for only a month. I wanted to be competitive in BMX racing but their crazy points system would have me racing all over the US to be a top dog in the points race. With my income that just wouldn’t work. Oh well, money sucks and we all know it.
That snowboard grab in my video is called a Tindy. IT’S NOT A REAL GRAB! I was a beginner when that photo was taken, So take it easy on the comments. I have been snowboarding for about 15 years now and you won’t see a Tindy Grab from me again. I had a season pass to Copper Mountain, CO for most of my school years. Snowboarding kept me from team sports like football. I would rather be shredding POW on the weekends VS playing football or basketball Any Day! I did decide to be a sprinter my senior year in high school. I had been foot racing other kids since I was little and I knew I was faster than most. My Fastest time in the 100 meter dash was 10.8 seconds! I could only do four events per track meet, and I received four metals at the State track meet along with a school record. OH YEAH! I love all extreme sports. I skateboarded during the summer but the summers are short in Colorado. Skateboarding to me was more like practice for snowboarding season. I have always loved being involved in Individual sports because the only person to blame when you lose is yourself.
I have been blessed with speed and athleticism.
I love all forms of racing as well. Everything I do feels like a race. When I sit down to eat, I finish first! I believe natural born talent will win more times than not. My Dad is 60 years old and still races motocross! Us Fullmer’s just don’t know when to quit I guess. I’m up for any racing challenge, SO BRING IT! I know that teaching me will better than teaching someone who races cars already because breaking bad habits in racing is harder than teaching the right habits. Enjoy the Video! :) I hope I’m one of the lucky ones to get picked to Join The Octane Academy!
Thanks Ford for the opportunity.
Keep it real everybody. -John
