Focused. Determined. Willing. Able.
What’s up guys this is Matt from Rochester NY.
I know it’s coming down to the wire and I really wanted to get my video in before it was too late, I’ve been thinking about this for months on how to boost my chances and show you guys how much I want to compete. I’m not looking for a weekend rally course or drifting lesson, I truly want to push the limits of these vehicles and unleash the true potential of the car and myself.
I have been a gear head most my life, I value speed and performance over economy and I am always trying to take each turn faster and tighter. But I am by no means reckless; I’m just focused on getting better in everything I do. I learn quickly and am always up for a lesson.
Now I have the chance to better my skills and compete against the best. Chances like this don’t come often for me, Time and Money have always been luxuries I haven’t had for the tuner lifstyle, but imagination, drive, and adaptation are like old friends.
I am an artist, My art has always been the experience more than the finished product. Winning by a mile is great, but I’d rather be the guy that wins by an inch. I humbly ask for the opportunity to participate in your challenge and prove myself as an Octane Academy Graduate and Champion.
I’m not trying to be anyone I’m not, just trying to convince you of my worth and the heart I will gladly bring to this competition. Watching the other contestants post videos has been interesting to say the least. I can’t say I’ve got a 1000 horse dragster I get my groceries in, I can’t say I pwn noobs in racing games, I can’t say I’m the best just cause my ride looks good on blacktop. I will say I am a driver; put me in a vehicle, put me on a course, and I’ll drive it. I’ll learn, I’ll adapt, and I’ll get better. I am as serious about this competition as you are at considering me. I hope my little talk shows at least a little of my quality and that I am worthy of your challenge. Thank you for your time and considering me for Octane Academy.
Oh, and just for fun I’ll add a little spice to the mix, it may put a target on my back but so be it: In college, my friends gave me a nickname, Aniketos. It’s greek, it means Unconquerable.
