For two seasons, Octane Academy has been your place for motorsports action, where Ken Block, Brian Deegan, Tanner Foust and Vaughn Gittin Jr. put some of the most fearless drivers in motorsports to the ultimate test – a head-to-head fustercluck of metal, gasoline, guts and glory. All for the chance to train with one of the kings of motorsports, and walk away with some sick prizes. Think you got the skills to make it?
When it comes to Todd Richards, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Richards is considered one of the most influential riders in freestyle snowboarding—specifically in the half-pipe. His talent earned him numerous X Games medals and Vans Triple Crown championships. Plus, he’s an actor, video gamer and cofounder of O-Matic Snowboards, and still has time to sleep.
Straight outta Malibu, Calif., where he trains dogs by day and chows down on tacos by night, Burton was selected to attend The Draft out of nearly 1,000 applicants. Brian Deegan picked him because of his cool yet intense demeanor and his willingness to take chances.
During Brian’s camp at his compound in Temecula, Calif., Burton dominated the challenges and walked away as the winner of Brian’s team.
And when he went up against the winners of the other teams during the finale, Burton once again brought it hard and walked away the unquestionable victor of Season 2 of Octane Academy.
